HERE AM I - Worthing Mission Community Festival -
Thirty or more local mission and Christian agencies based in Worthing will be taking part in this exciting Festival, to raise the flag on what Christians are doing here and overseas, in response to the Great Commandment (Mark 12:28-34) and to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)
Friday 9th October is a Young Peoples Day at St.Pauls Centre in Chapel Road - with exhibitions and workshops for schools and youth groups. In the evening there will be a Phatfish Gig with Guest speaker Helder Martines (Brazil) (Tickets £5 in advance. Contact: 1903 260236)
Saturday October 10th Mission Community Festival Day, starting with a leaders prayer breakfast (By invitation), a flag and band parade leaving the pier at 10.00am - followed at the newly refurbished St.Pauls Centre, in Chapel Road, with an all day exhibition, inspiring talks, an African market and other events. Free entry. Come and go when you can.
Saturday Evening October 10th there will be a multimedia 'Celebration of Mission' starting 7pm at Christ Church, Grafton Road, with Guest speaker Canon Goerge Kovoor, Principal of Trinity College Bristol and a special video message to Worthing Christians from Luis Palau. There will be an offering to help cover the costs of the Festival
